Beaver worked hard for many days to build his lodge, and had nearly finished when a heavy rain came and washed it away.

When Sparrow went to visit after the storm, she saw that Beaver was already toiling to build a new lodge.

“Are you angry at the storm for wrecking your house?” Sparrow asked him.

“And what good would that do?” Beaver said. “I don’t wish for bad things to not happen. I only wish for the strength to handle bad things when they do happen.”
