Listen to the Narration:

Rabbit saw Mole poking her head out of a hole one morning, and hopped over to say hello.

“I rarely get to see you,” Rabbit said. “Still digging, I see?”

“Of course!” Mole said cheerfully. “I’ll never finish these tunnels. When I’m done with one, I just start another.”

Rabbit twitched his nose. “Is that any fun, knowing you won’t ever be done?”

“It’s lots of fun,” said Mole. “I get joy from doing, not from being done.”

For Parents: What Stoic Quote Does This Story Illustrate?

“Don’t wish that you didn’t have to build the path; instead, be grateful that you have the strength to lift the stones. Find joy in the job you’ve been given.”
